My Trip to Ireland

Usually, my parents are the only ones that get invited to weddings. But, for the first time in awhile, I was invited to a wedding. This particular wedding happened to be in Ireland. So, my family decided to make a trip out of it. I think it is important to start off by saying the place we were in Ireland is maybe the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Also, everyone was so nice it was really refreshing.

On the first day, our flight got into Ireland early in the morning, but we wanted to make the most of the day. We told the driver who took us around that day to take us somewhere he thought we should see. He first took us to the Cliffs of Moher. They were absolutely beautiful and the view was insane. After that, he took us to a local pub in Doolin. Surprisingly, it was a lot easier to find vegetarian food in Ireland than it is in America. After lunch, we briefly walked around Doolin. And when I say briefly, I mean it because that town was tiny. The rest of the day was spent sleeping because, trust me, it was much needed.

The next day, we went to Limerick. This was such a cool and unique city. We started by going to King John’s Castle. While this museum was very interesting, nothing compared to the views at the top of the castle. I can honestly say I have never seen a city like Limerick. After we left, we went to the Locke Bar for lunch. The best part was the fact that they had avocado toast. And, yes, I obviously ordered that. The rest of the afternoon was spent walking around the city, and, of course, shopping.

On the third day, we started our morning off early with some falconry. I made fun of my mom a lot for wanting to do this, but it was probably my favorite part of the trip. Honestly, those birds are smarter than I’ll ever be. After a quick lunch in the castle, we rented a couple of golf carts and drove around the grounds of the castle we were staying at. The grounds and castle were stunning. The Walled Garden was so beautiful, and, like my sister said, it felt like the one in The Secret Garden.

The last day was the wedding. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any good pictures of it because my camera died and I forgot to pack my charger for it. I did get a few pictures on my phone of my outfit, but sorry it’s not the best quality!

Overall, the trip was absolutely incredible. I want to go back and see more of the country and maybe stay in a cute village next time. As you can probably tell by now, my outfits didn’t vary much. I tried to pack really light for this trip. I stuck to my black ripped jeans most days with a sweatshirt/t-shirt layered under my new favorite denim jacket. I wanted to keep my outfits simple and comfortable because I knew my days here would be busy and the weather would be unpredictable.
